Onoja @48: Friends of GYB-CEDO doles out cash, utilities to widows, hospital patients in day 2 of outreach »

In a continued event celebrating his 48th birthday anniversary, the team “friends of GYB-CEDO” on Wednesday stormed Adankolo area of Lokoja, where they gifted cash donations and other items to identified widows within the community.

Leading the team, Mr. Jimoh Fancy explained to the beneficiaries that the gesture was extended to them as an expression of love and kindness which the celebrant represented and although his friends had come together to do such on his behalf, the Deputy Governor was well known for his humanity.

A community person, Mr. Salihu Abubakar Abdullahi who spoke with our reporter, expressed gratitude to the delegation for identifying with Adankolo and meeting the needs of the widows noting that their kind gesture would never be forgotten.

The team had a stop also at the Kogi State Specialist Hospital, Lokoja where they moved across wards including Male, Female, Accident/Emergency as well as the paediatrics wards to present cash gifts and other materials to patients.

Many of the patients expressed their gratitude to the team for the kind gesture they have received and that they were remembered even in their conditions while prayers were offered by the beneficiaries both at Adankolo and the Specialist Hospital for the celebrant, Edward Onoja and the team.
