[PHOTOS] Kogi Deputy Governor’s Wife Buries Aunt Amidst Tears

Wife of Kogi State Deputy Governor, Mrs. Ejura Onoja alongside elder brother, Hon. Victor Okee, the SSA to Kogi First Lady on Administration and other siblings, today buried the remains of their aunt, late Mrs Ajala Ruth Okee at their hometown, Egume, Dekina Local Government Area.

Late Mrs. Ajala Ruth Okee who died on Sunday, January 23, 2022 in a protracted illness at the age of 75 is survived by a son, Mr. Anthony Alih.

Mrs. Onoja in her tribute, described her aunt as loving, one who had great family values and lived a life fulfilled, showing kindness to everyone she came across.

“We grew up knowing her as an affectionate personality and a core believer in deep family values. To our late dad she was both a sister and a mother figure. Our mother described her as best sister-in-law any could ask,” she said.

Rev. Father Cornelius Adegbe of S.S Peter and Paul Parish in Egume who prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased, conducted the funeral mass.

The deceased was until her death a devout Catholic and elder sister of late Sir Joseph Okee, father of Mrs Ejura Onoja and Hon. Victor Okee.
