Provost COE Ankpa Conferred with Chieftaincy Title of Dan-Masanin Ankpa »

The Ejeh Ankpa and Chairman Ankpa Traditional Council Alh. (Dr.) Abubakar Sadiq Ahmed Yakubu II, has conffered the prestigious title of Dan-Masanin Ankpa on the Provost, Kogi State College of Education, Ankpa. This is part of the activities to mark the second year anniversary on the throne and the successful coronation and presentation of staff of office by the Governor of the State, Alh. Yahaya Bello.

In the official statement released from the palace, the Provost alongside other distinguish sons and daughters of the kingdom were being honoured for “their unwavering commitment and outstanding contributions to the development of Ankpa”. Specifically, the Provost was singled out for his outstanding contributions to educational development in the kingdom.

In his response, the Provost praised God Almighty for his life and accomplishment. He thanked Governor Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello CON for the platform and unwavering support. The Provost further thanked Ankpa Area Traditional Council under the able leadership of HRH Alh. Abubakar Sadiq Ahmed for finding him worthy to be conferred a chieftaincy title. He retreated his commitment to doing more for the advancement of the kingdom and State in general. He appreciated staffs of the College, family members and friends.

The title so conferred on the Provost which has its foundation in Knowledge is followed with an official salutation of ‘Zaki’. The date for the official decoration will be announced shortly.
