Rape Allegation: Inconsistencies of the Accuser's Testimony »

The rape allegation against one Kogi Commissioner is taking new twist daily with counter claims coming from the accuser and the commissioner’s camp. A video of an interview with the accuser, Elizabeth Oyeniyi granted Channels TV from her hideout has shown inconsistencies in the whole saga.

The young lady in the video claimed Danga raped her three times after first incident, adding that she was first assaulted and molested in one hotel around Government House.

While narrating her ordeals, Elizabeth said she ‘had a bath and freshen up’ in the hotel after the commissioner’s aide led her to the room. In Rape case, only the accused and accuser can say 100% truth while medical report as well as other facts will be useful to collaborate such case in court of law.

However, the inconsistencies in Elizabeth first video and subsequent interview with Channels TV have raised some questions.

Firstly, would anybody in hostile environment thought of having bath and feel relax as claimed on Channels TV report.

Secondly, the inconsistencies in her initial video and Channels TV is pointing to another case of internet bully and blackmail. The issue should be taken serious and lady must submit herself for interrogation as the Commissioner, a law abiding citizen was already helping Police with useful facts. The Army of Human Rights Advocates should encourage Elizabeth to do the right thing.

To this end, the law enforcement agency must thoroughly investigate this weighty allegation with view of getting justice for the accused or clear name of the commissioner, if the whole drama is make-belief.
