Record crowd storm Okene for APC rally »

Thousands of APC supporters have taken over Okene, the traditional headquarters of Ebira kingdom, awaiting the arrival of Governor Yahaya Bello for his campaign rally in the local government.

We are told that some of the supporters who arrived the city as early as 6am to book a front space at the venue of the rally which was already filled to capacity as at the time of this report.

Already vehicle owners have to park five to 10 kilometres away to trek to the campaign ground due to congestion as a result of massive human and vehicular movement.

the Governor, Deputy Governor and other party officials in their characteristic manner are currently in the palace of the Ohinoyi of Ebira land to pay homage before heading out.

Governor Bello is expected to commission several road projects including the Eitka-Kuroko-Egogo-Osisi-Ipaku road executed by the Bello administration before going to the venue of the rally.

So far, there has been no report of any security breach, as police, military and para military personnel keep vigil in strategic locations.
