Rector NKFI grants scholarship to 8 Lokoja indigent students »

…says action motivated by GYB’s passion for education sector

The Rector Nigeria Korea Friendship Institute of Vocational and Advanced Technology, Williams Charles Oluwatoyin on Thursday offered full scholarships to 8 indigent students from his political ward in ward A area of Lokoja.

According to reports gathered by journalist, the 8 benefiting students will undertake different professional programmes at the Nigeria Korea Friendship Institute, Lokoja.

The Rector, while handing over the scholarship documents to Mrs Patricia Balogun SSA women affairs of Lokoja LGA for onward distribution , reiterated the passion of the Kogi state Governor, Yahaya Bello towards science and technical Education and Human Capital Development of Kogi state youths and it’s indigenes.

While thanking the governor for the continued support he has rendered to the institute, he pointed out that the governor’s zeal and investment in education sector and even the government’s 30% budgetary allocation to the sector and other efforts in the last seven years reflected in the quality of his choices.

He noted that NKFI is a viable platform for the government to achieve their goals.

He said upon completion of their work, the students will comfortably fit into any industry including the soon to be resusitated, Ajaokuta steel company, other like dangote cement industry, Abuja Electricity Development Company and many more adding that they can never be unemployed after their sojourn through the institute.

The Rector however encouraged the beneficiaries to take this opportunity very seriously as their fortunes are about to change for the better.

One of the parents of a beneficiary, Appreciated the Rector for his kind gesture, pointing out that her son had always desired such oppportunity and the NKFI came to his rescue at the nick of time.

She pledged that her son will make the most of the scholarship while describing the Rector as a passionate educationist with so much political value.
