Reflect excellence in your duties, Amoka charges newly appointed executive members »

The Caretaker Chairman of Okehi Local Government today charged the new cabinet members to reflect excellence in their duties and ensure delivery of the RENEWED HOPE agenda of the Tinubu’s led Federal Government and the incoming Ododo’s Kogi administration down to the teeming citizens and residents of Okehi Local Government.

Hon. Amoka gave the charge after the Swearing-in ceremony for the 6-man newly inaugurated transition committee which comprises the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Mathew Omeiza James, and the Supervisory Councilors, held at the office of the Caretaker Chairman, Okehi Local Government Secretariat, Obangede.

Amoka also said that as the new cabinet members prepare for the challenges ahead, they must see their appointment as a unique privilege and a call to service.

He added that this event is historic. The members of the Local Government Executive Council have been painstakingly chosen, and henceforth stand as the emblem of what Okehi LGA is all about.

“I wish to inform you that, meeting the target is not an option. You must reflect excellence in your duty with the interest of the people at heart”. Hon. Amoka stressed.

Speaking on behalf of the inaugurated council members, Hon. Mathew Omeiza James, the Secretary to the local government thanked the Caretaker Chairman whom he described as his new boss for giving him and the other council members the privilege to serve in the administrative stewardship of our dear local government. We shall be committed to your directives and synergise your policies that shall consolidate on the achievement of the immediate past administration of Hon. Abdulraheem Ozovehe Ohiare that put Okehi on the catalogue of the most crime-free and socioeconomic developing local government in Kogi State.

“So, I hereby vow on behalf of the council members to serve diligently with the fear of God and contribute our quota that shall register your name and tenure in the good book of Okehi Local Government’s successive leaders”, Hon. Mathew pledged.

Congratulatory ovations densely sprang up in the auditorium while the supporters of the Secretary and the other appointees lit up the ceremony with songs and merriments.
