Sallah: Lokoja LG Council Leader distribute foodstuffs to constituents »

The Council Leader of Lokoja Local Government Area, Hon. Blessing Bala who happens to be from A, the largest Ward with the most number of polling units in the Capital – Lokoja, has disbursed food stuffs to constituents across the 23 polling units in the Ward over the weekend.

The Council Leader who congratulated Muslims on fulfilling this year’s Ramadan and upholding utmost spirituality, enjoined them to keep the process on regardless of the season because it is a gift from Allah to be alive and to worship Him. She charged every Kogite to use the opportunity to right wrongs, to forgive and seek forgiveness, to work towards the betterment of Nigerians and to bring people together and unite as one community.

While assuring the people of her relentless efforts in bringing good governance to the grassroot level using her privileged office at all times, the lawmaker promise to continue operating an opened door policy and strive to carry everyone along.

Bala commended Governor Yahaya Bello and his Deputy Chief Edward Onoja for providing good governance to the people of Kogi State. She also hailed the Lokoja local government Chairman, Hon. Danasabe Muhammed for his exemplary leadership and for ensuring an all inclusive system at the local government level.

In their separate remarks, the Ward A party Chairman and the representative of constituents from Workers Village, Mis, Zainab both commended the unifying efforts of the Council Leader and her display of good leadership. They said her reaching out to the Muslims faithfuls and Christians ahead of the Sallah celebration demonstrates oneness.

Items distributed includes; bags of Semolina, salt, bags of rice and other grains.
