Students of Kogi State origin in tertiary institutions across Nigeria have concluded arrangements to mobilise their members in support of the Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello in Saturday’s election.

The students gave the assurance through the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Students Matters, Hon Joshua Omonu against the backdrop of receipt of the three hundred percent increment of their bursary allowances.

He said the students who were overwhelmed by the gesture were filled with gratitude for the humane nature the Governor has handled their welfare since assumption of office.

The aide, who emphasised that students had been charged up to work round the clock to ensure the Governor’s victory because of his show of love to them, assured the APC in the state of a record breaking vote to secure fresh mandate for Yahaya Bello.

Unlike what obtained in the past where students were paid lip service by previous administrations, the current government of Bello pronounces policies to cater to the needs of the students and fulfilled them, he noted.

The SSA also used the opportunity to express gratitude to the deputy governor of the state, Chief Edward Onoja for his continued support to the welfare of students, assuring him of their commitment to be loyal and supportive of policies of government at all times.

The aide therefore called on the students to file out in their numbers to vote for the return of Governor Bello in order to sustain the positive achievements of the administration in the education sector of Kogi state.

His message was supported by the leaderships of all the national student bodies in the state including the National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS); the National Association of Igala Students (NAIS); the National Association of Ebira Students (NAES); the National Association of Okun Student (NAOS) and the National Association of Nigerian Students Joint Campus Committee (NANS/JCC).
