Confusion looms in the camp of the Social Democratic Party as the storm gathers for the November 11th Kogi Governorship election.

One Adejoh Audu, a supposed spokesperson of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), an imported half-kogite with little knowledge of governance and political realities in Kogi State was spotted on the national TV shamelessly making conjecture and ignorantly tagging the candidate of the APC, Alh. Ododo Ahmed Usman.

Adejoh’s shameful display on national TV only confirmed our earlier assumptions on the source of the recent spurious and unfounded morbid rumours being peddled about our state Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello and other prominent patriotic leaders of our dear state. Having run out of stock of mendacious fabrications and also perceiving the impending victory of a highly cultured and focused Alhaji Ododo, the next duty of a supposed spokesperson was to engage in a dance of ignominy to the public glare.

Ironically, the spokesperson in his little knowledge of the happenings in Kogi State had predicted the third position that his candidate will be placed in the forthcoming governorship election.

After a careful analysis, the Okakanda Media Team for Ododo came to the conclusion that his ignoble outing is a premature way of accepting defeat before the November 11th governorship election. This we believe may have dire consequences on the psyche of the few unsuspecting members of the public who have hoodwinked to believe in their ethnic political agenda.

His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Yahaya Bello Adoza Bello has laid down good precedence in governance, a total redirection from the past, ensuring equity and justifiable distribution of power and the dividend of democracy to all and sundry irrespective of tribes and background.

Alh. Ododo Ahmed Usman being a part of Governor Yahaya Bello’s administration that engineered successes in his government immediately swung into action after his election as the APC flag bearer paying patriotic and consultation visits to people across the three senatorial districts, a step that has led to an unprecedented exodus of members of the opposition parties to the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) of which the SDP has a humongous puncture.

It’s obvious that Ododo has become the most popular candidate with supporters across the 21 Local Government Areas because for the APC government has established a strong foundation in terms of infrastructure, security, education, healthcare, youth and women empowerment. This has positioned the APC candidate as a strong contender, especially against the remaining demoralized remnant members of the SDP who are driven by tribal agenda.

While we do not want to dignify any opposition party whose only mission is a tribal agenda, we want to on a final note express that the SDP and their spokesman are executing a desperate and poorly scripted public propaganda aimed at deflecting attention from the obvious failure their party is confronted with, but Alh. Ododo Ahmed Usman and the good people of Kogi State won’t be distracted by their gimmicks.
