Senator Isah Jibrin Condemns Escalating Hostilities Between Ayeke, Enweli Communities »

Senator Isah Jibrin, representing Kogi East Senatorial District has vehemently condemned the escalating hostility between the Ayeke and Enweli communities of Ibaji local government area of Kogi State.

The violence has resulted in heavy casualties, causing great concern and distress among the populace.

Senator Jibrin in a statement made available to journalists expresses deep shock and dismay at the tragic turn of events, emphasizing that such conflicts among brothers are utterly unacceptable, particularly in times when peace and prosperity should be the collective focus. He said the resort to arms and violence is alien to the values of the people, and it is imperative that “we find peaceful resolutions to our disagreements.”

In light of these distressing developments, the Senator called on the Kogi State Government and relevant security agencies to swiftly deploy personnel to the affected areas. “It is imperative to restore law and order, protect the lives and properties of innocent citizens, and prevent further escalation of violence,” he noted.

Senator Jibrin reiterated his commitment to fostering peace, unity, and progress within his constituency and urged all parties involved to prioritize dialogue and reconciliation as the pathway to resolving grievances.
