A sociopolitical organisation, the Suleiman Baba-Ali Network (SBA NETWORK) has congratulated Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello over his victory at the court of appeal.

A statement by the Chairman of SBA NETWORK, Alh. Yahaya Adama, which was made available by the spokesperson of the group, Comr. Yakubu Abubakar stated that “Kogites willingly came out to cast their votes massively for Gov Yahaya Bello and the APC because of ths New Direction agenda.”

It added that knowing the nittygritty of politics and the demand of the electorates was what gave the governor and his party the edge and winning streak.

Alh Yahaya Adana continued by appealing to the opposition in the state to bury whatever differences they have with the government and join hands to build Kogi State.

He said, “As Kogites, irrespective of our political party differences, we should join hands with Bello and contribute our very best to the development of our dear state.

The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja on Saturday dismissed the suit filed by the Peoples Democratic Party, the Actions People ’s Party , the Social Democratic Party and the Democratic Peoples Party .

Among the four appeals, was the one filed by the PDP along with its governorship candidate, Musa Wada against the election of Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello.

However, the Court, in a unanimous Judgement, held that the appeal by PDP and its candidate lack merit and it could not set aside the judgement of the tribunal which declares Governor Yahaya Bello winner unless it want to perverse injustice.

“Let’s put party aside and work together because two persons cannot be governor of one state at a time unless there is anarchy, but God has entrusted Kogi state into the hands of Governor Bello for the next four years and we should help him to build the state.

“While I congratulate Governor Bello for emerging victorious at the tribunal and Appeal Court, I am also appealing to all other aggrieved persons, candidates, political parties to shelve their sword of hatred and work for a new Kogi of our desired dream.”
