Super Eagles Legends National Coordinator, Dr Hassan Congratulates Onogwu Mohammed on Appointment, Commends Gov Ododo’s Choice »

The National Coordinator of Super Eagles Legends of Nigeria and a philanthropist Dr. Hassan Ocholi, has sent a congratulatory message to the newly appointed Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo on Public Relations, Onogwu Mohammed, describing the governor’s choice of appointment as astute and commendable.

Dr. Hassan, known for his impact in peace building and philanthropic activities, is a humanitarian with unique humility. He delivered the message to the press in Lokoja on Sunday while congratulating other appointees.

According to him, the choice of Mohammed as a PR officer to the governor is a case of a square peg in a square hole, adding that Mohammed, whom he has known for years, is a crisis communication expert who knows the art and science of bringing the government and its publics together for mutual benefits. He said he has no doubt in the deliverables of Mohammed and that the governor should be rest assured of peaceful coexistence between the government and its publics.

Dr. Hassan thanked Ododo for remembering the services of Mohammed in the past administrations and bringing him onboard once again to serve the state. He noted that the governor has proven himself once again to be an astute personality and one who makes decisions with wisdom.

Mohammed is a distinguished member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and a renowned crisis communication expert.

Previously, he served as the Chief Press Secretary to former governor Bello, where he earned the 2023 National Spokesperson award for his exceptional crisis communication management skills.

According to the statement from Lugard House, announcing his appointment as the PR man to Ododo, Mohammed will provide strategic guidance and manage the public image and communications of the Governor and the state government. His responsibilities will include maintaining and enhancing the Governor’s reputation, effectively communicating policies and initiatives to various stakeholders, including the media, public, and government officials.

Mohammed’s expertise will be invaluable in strategic communication planning, media relations, crisis management, public engagement, stakeholder management, reputation management, internal communications, and social media management. He will play a vital role in shaping the public narrative, building trust with constituents, and ensuring that the Governor’s communication efforts are effective, transparent, and aligned with the administration’s goals.
