The 9th of August, 2020 will continue to remain significant in the memory of the loving people of Kogi State as we celebrated our own Pride and amiable Leader whose life has proven the possibility and dawn of a better Kogi filled with youths of purpose, the Deputy Governor–Chief Edward Onoja.

The love, joy, laughter; the sigh of relief and the unending show of care and affection across Kogi State and beyond was heavily felt. It was an all inclusive celebration that touched the three senatorial districts; from the West to the East and of course the Central. Even our loved ones in the federal Capital territory Abuja were not left out. The presence of His Excellency, the Deputy Governor of Kogi State was felt laud and clear to the Glory of the Almighty.

It was a colourful day that caused smile on my face, and indeed every other like minds. Top of the celebration were the moments spent with the needy and the less privilege across the state, and the genuine efforts of over 500 young volunteers who made themselves available across the 21 Local Government areas of the State and beyond.

We may never be able to celebrate His Excellency enough, but we are confident that the continuous spread of love and deep concern for the growth of every soul which he has made the core of his leadership style will always go a long way in offering him the great sense of fulfilment that comes with handling responsibilities which better the lots of everyone who cross path with him.

Chief Edward Onoja has of course distinguished himself amongst his peers and politicians in the state through frank and impactful leadership that seek not only to attend to the challegenes of the present, but furthered to envisage and put in place the right resources to make our tomorrow the best it can ever be. We are grateful to him for the sacrifices and the will to do greater things for the betterment of dear state and the society in general.

We equally want to use this opportunity to appreciate everyone who out of their believe and trust in his leaderahip tried their best to spread the gospel of a New Kogi State to the door steps our people where the essence of leadership is needed and best justified.

As we pray to have more of Chief Edward Onoja, we must never forget that life is a succession, and we must therefore continue to build the right character that will justify our confidence to rise through the ladder and leave no stone unturned to at every point in time provide the necessary and right kind of leadership that we all desire.
