Thugs Loyal to Opposition Candidate Ibikunle Idowu Ambush Campaign Train of Yemisi Oshaloto »

Some group of suspected thugs believed to be loyal to one of the opposition candidates in the forthcoming Saturday Kogi State House of Assembly election in Yagba West State constituency attempted to ambush the campaign train of Honourable Yemisi Oshaloto, the APC candidates for Yagba West State constituency.

An eye witness who don’t want name mentioned said “shortly after the campaign train left Oke Ere where they went to solicit for votes, on their way back to Egbe, some miscreants wearing shirts and caps of Honourable Ibikunle Simon Idowu popular called Kuli the ADC candidate blocked the road inside the bush with the aim of attacking the campaign train but the security and Youths in the convoy of the APC candidate quickly trooped out and the thugs flee”.

Honourable Yemisi Oshaloto is the leading candidate in the State Assembly election and believe to enjoy massive support of the electorates especially women and Youths. One of the things counting for her is the fact that she is a woman and her goodwill cum popularity is unmatched.

A member of the campaign train when contacted said, “there are reports everywhere that the ADC candidate has planned to mobilize thugs to cause trouble on election day. Part of their plans is to attack polling units where Honourable Yemisi Oshaloto is believe to enjoy tremendous support. But no matter what they do, the people of Yagba West are determined to make sure they vote and defend their votes for Yemisi. “

They however call on security to make sure laws and order is maintained on the day of election.
