TNN: National Leader Applauds Kogi State Chapter

The National Publicity Secretary of Team New Nigeria (TNN), Dr. Muhammad Shaibu Tetes has hailed the leadership of Kogi State Chapter for effective coordination.

Dr. Tetes gave the commendation on Thursday in an address at the Executive Council meeting of the state chapter in Lokoja.

According to the National Leader, the State Coordinator, Alhaji Suleiman Ibrahim has brought to bear his extraordinary wealth of experience in piloting the affairs of the association in Kogi State.

His remarks: “The choice of Alhaji Suleiman Ibrahim as the State Coordinator was not a difficult one, considering his expertise, wealth of experience as a media guru and his robust knowledge of Kogi State and Nigeria at large.

“I’m happy with what is happening in Kogi State Chapter. It should be sustained,” he urged.

“TNN which is a non-governmental association like any other organization is in a formation stage and we have structures at the various socio-political zones and technocrats as members, that includes serving Governors and Senators.”

He however enjoined the state leadership to harness human capacities, that holds dear the philosophy of inclusiveness, equity, equality, justice and fairness to all, saying that the team should be consistent with its commitment in order to be stronger.

Speaking further, Dr. Tetes stressed that the policy of TNN as a group is about the people, carrying them along no matter how difficult, hard work and making sacrifices for humanity.

In his opening remarks, the State Coordinator, Alhaji Suleiman Ibrahim said that the association has a sincere mandate to change the narratives in all spheres, especially in moving Nigeria forward.

His speech reads: “I feel honoured to welcome members of the Confluence State Exco of Team New Nigeria (TNN) to its second meeting since our appointments. It is indeed a thing of joy and great recognition to be chosen as leaders of a very unique and fast growing organization like TNN in Kogi State. We are indeed grateful to the president and other leaders.

“It is in this light therefore that members of Kogi State Exco should settle down quickly and work in line with the noble objectives of ensuring attitudinal change towards nation building and bequeathing to Nigerians, an egalitarian society, full of opportunities for all.

“I must use this opportunity to welcome a distinguished son of the Confluence State, Dr. Muhammed Shaibu Tetes, the National Publicity Secretary of TNN whose nag for excellence brought most of us on board this ship. I must also appreciate the President, Dr. Modibo Yakubun Farakwai for reposing so much confidence in our son who is working assiduously to sustain the ideals of Team New Nigeria.”

Highpoint of the meeting was a minute silence observed in honour of its late Women Leader, Hon. Mrs Chide Yahaya Omale who passed on, on Saturday, 21st August, 2021 following a brief illness.
