UAC subsidiary to recruit NKFI’s students in one year technical training programme
…offers automatic employment after completion
Grand Cereal Limited (GCL), a subsidiary of UAC Nigeria PLC which specializes in manufacturing of animal feeds, edible oils, breakfast cereals, pet foods and other intermediate and consumer cereal products have offered to recruit best students from the Nigeria-Korea friendship Institute into their one year technical traineeship programme.
NKFI was intimated of this development through a mail conveyed from GCL where they explained that the organization’s Technical traineeship Programme recruits young talented technical graduates and submerged them into an intensive developmental programme aimed at equipping them with the right competencies to assume technical roles in the organization.
GCL representatives revealed that NKFI was highly recommended as an institute that provides one of the best technical graduates in the region while intimating that they were glad to commence a long term mutually beneficial relationship with the institute.
While reeling out the procedure for the emergence of the beneficiary students, GCL representatives outlined that the manufacturing organization will visit the institute to examine some of its best students and after a series of other in-house procedures successful candidates will be appointed. The traineeship program according to the organization would be for one year after which successful trainees will be appointed into substantive roles in the company.
While they specified key areas of mechanical, electrical/electronic and welding/fabrications as major focus of recruitments, the representative noted that during the traineeship period, trainees would be offered the opportunity to grow and learn within the company
Responding to the good news the Rector, Nigeria Korea Friendship Institute, Mr. Williams Charles Oluwatoyin noted that such partnership have again re affirmed the quality reputation of the institute in bridging the unemployment gap in the nation, adding that the institute boast of well trained students who could fit into any organization and add value
He added that NKFI was very much open to such partnerships that will further foster the positioning of the institute amongst high ranking educational institutions, noting that stakeholders have continued to see the need to enroll their wards in the institute.
