Omala: Umar Yahaya Sponsors Connect Back-to-School Initiative Today
Honourable Umar Yahaya sponsors the Connect Back-to-School Initiative themed “From the Classroom to the Future: Every Child Matters,” scheduled for Friday, October 9, 2026, in Abejukolo, Omala LGA.
The lawmaker representing Omala State Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Honourable Umar Yahaya, popularly known as Connect, is sponsoring a back-to-school initiative aimed at supporting education and inspiring pupils to pursue a brighter future.
The programme, tagged “From the Classroom to the Future: Every Child Matters,” is scheduled to hold today, Friday, October 9, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at LGEA Central Primary School, Abejukolo, Omala Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The initiative is expected to draw attention to the importance of education and the need to ensure that every child has the opportunity to learn, develop essential skills and achieve their potential.
The programme features the Chief Servant of Kogi State, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, as well as the Deputy Governor, Comrade Joel Salifu Oyibo, and the Kogi State Commissioner for Education, Honourable Wemi Jones.
Honourable Umar Yahaya, who represents Omala State Constituency in the state legislature, is the sponsor of the initiative, reflecting his involvement in efforts to promote educational development within his constituency.
The theme, “From the Classroom to the Future: Every Child Matters,” underscores the importance of investing in children’s education as a pathway to individual advancement and community development.
The event is scheduled to commence at 9:00 a.m., with pupils, parents, educators, community stakeholders and members of the public expected to take note of the programme.
