“We celebrate, mourn as a family in APC”, Kogi Deputy Governor to bereaved GYB female advocate heads
The ruling All Progressives Congress party in Kogi State does not abandon its own in any circumstances, whether in joy or sadness as that is the only the unity of party faithful can further be strengthened.
This was the view of the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief Edward Onoja on Tuesday in Ajaka, Igalamela/Odolu and in Idah, Idah Local Government Areas of the state where he attended the burial and a condolence visits over the death of mothers of coordinators of GYB Female Advocates.
Chief Onoja said APC is one family that emphasises unity, peace and togetherness at all times, hence his decision to attend the burial and pay the condolence visit.
While praying for the peaceful repose of the souls of the deceased, he further encouraged the bereaved children to have the belief that their mothers had gone to rest with God Almighty, assuring them that the administration of Governor Yahaya Bello is one that shows concerns for those who worked for it.
He called on the children left behind by the deceased to be united, always pray for the dead and ensure they care for each other so as to make their mothers proud even in their graves.
The Deputy Governor then prayed for the bereaved families members left behind and encouraged them to bear the losses even as he assured them that his prayers were with them.
The GYB Female Advocates leader for Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Area, Miss Eunice Achimugu lost her mother, Mrs Alami Paul on 21st December, 2019 aged 70 after in an illness while the Idah Coordinator of the group, Mrs Zulai Musa lost her mother, Hadiza Audu on 28th of December, 2019.
He was accompanied on the visits by administrators of Idah and Igalamela/Odolu LGAs, former office holders in the state, APC stalwarts and other party loyalists.
