‘We don’t play party politics, we do movement’ – declares Ejeh of Olamaboro

The Ejeh of Olamaboro, His Royal Highness, Chief Ujah Simeon has on Tuesday disclosed that his people were more interested in supporting a candidate with the general interest of the people at heart rather than, play party politics or ethnic agenda.

Chief Simeon made this known when he received wife of the governor, Mrs Rashidat Bello and wife of the Deputy Governor. Mrs Onoja in his palace at Okpo in conclusion of the All Progressives Congress (APC) women and youth rally.

He said the people of Olamaboro have never been known to play party politics of supporting a particular candidate because of its party, adding that the people’s support has was always been towards an individual who considered their community worthy of development.

The traditional ruler explained how the people place utmost priority on supporting leaders who prioritize infrastructural development and how they stood by the leadership of the late Kogi political icon, Prince Abubakar Audu who brought development to their land.

“The people of Olamaboro Local Government, do movement! We don’t vote candidates because of party, either APC or PDP. We are more interested in the development of our land and not because of our son is APC.”

According to him, the sixteen (16) years leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) brought negligence of government presence in their community, adding the emergence of Governor Bello and appointment of their son, Edward Onoja brought about a rapid change in their story from abandonment.

“I’m happy that you’re here in my palace today. I have said it in different gatherings, that the Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello by extension is our son. We stand firmly be him, we are too busy to pretend, we don’t have time to pretend,” he said.

“Tell Governor Yahaya Bello that the same way we filed out in our numbers and voted President Muhammudu Buhari for his seek, the same feat will be replicated for our son on Saturday. It is a task that must be fulfilled, we have 10 wards, we must vote him massively from Olamoboro on that day,” he concluded.
