The Chief of Staff to Kogi State Governor, and DG Tinubu/Shettima campaign Council Kogi State, Pharm. Abdulkareem Moh’d Jamiu Asuku today addressed his supporters in Okene his hometown. The Chief of Staff visited Okene in company of Governor Yahaya Bello who was on a working visit to inspect ongoing projects in the local government.

Pharm. Asuku while addressing the mammoth crowd appreciated everyone present for keeping faith with the government of the day and for their unflinching loyalty and support for the All Progressive Congress (APC) at all levels.

He said, the un-precedented development being recorded across the state is a deliberate effort by his principal, Governor Yahaya Bello to bring dividends of democracy to the people.

He noted that in time past, no meaningful development was being felt by citizens and yet thuggery and violence was the order of the day, especially across the Central Senatorial District, but since the inception of the New Direction Administration of Governor Yahaya Bello, the narrative has changed for good.

Pharm. Asuku maintained that no one’s ambition or quest for political power will bring back the reign of terror ever “Those days are over, we are making conscious efforts to see that our people are gainfully employed, those in businesses are getting support, while the students in both secondary and tertiary institutions who cannot afford tuition are under one scholarship or the other,” he said.

“We are doing all these to sustain the peace and progress we have enjoyed so far, So no one will have an excuse for being idle and as a result become an instrument of thuggery and other social vices”, he said.

The COS further made a plea to everyone present to go about their campaigns and engagements throughout the electioneering period peacefully.
