‘We will do more for Kogi in second term’ – Dep. Gov.

The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief Edward Onoja has given assurance that the government will put in all efforts to ensure the best for the state and her citizens when it begins a second term in office in January 2020.

He made the pledge in government house today while responding to questions from newsmen immediately after the official announcement of their victory by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

The Deputy Governor thanked all those who voted for APC during the election and said the party deserved the victory because it campaign to all wards and local governments of the state and sold their manifesto to the people who in turn have trusted them with their votes for another four years.

Onoja noted that the crowd that welcomed the APC campaign train in each local government was incredible and further attributed the turnouts to people’s appreciation of the efforts of governor Bello’s administration in the last three years.

He said the victory recorded today was a clear manifestation of the desire of the people and a fulfillment of the will of God.

While thanking the people for their support, the Deputy Governor called on them to continue in their support for the government of Yahaya Bello, promising that they will not dissapoint the people.

“We are going to consolidate on the gains recorded in this first tenure and expand developmental projects to areas not adequately covered, we will ensure that everyone continues to get a sense of belonging and all our policies will be people oriented.

“Kogi State has demonstrated her unity through the ballot, and i call on all to join us in this journey to make Kogi a better place. We will not dissapoint”. Onoja said
