Yusuf Okpanachi, Waves of Success Foundation distributes cash, food items, others worth millions of naira across Idah fed constituency

A Non Governmental Organisation, Waves of Success foundation has distributed food items, hand Sanitizers and face masks to communities in the idah federal constituency valued at a total cost of Ten million naira.

The Group which was led by its Chief Executive Officer, Yusuf Okpanachi into four communities including Ugualawo, Ajaka, Idah and Ibaji similarly gave cash donations totaling five Million Naira to various institutions and groups in these areas.

Mr. Yusuf pointed out that it was his own way of giving back to the society noting that as the son of the soil he would continue to offer such gesture.

The NGO also used the medium to educate the people about the current pandemic Covid-19 and the necessary measures to curtail the spread of the virus.

He pointed out that in such a time of global crisis, government alone should not be saddled with the responsibility of catering for the health, safety and welfare needs of the people.

Mr. Okpanachi added that well meaning individuals alongside cooperate organisations and institution should join hands to offer assistance to people particularly their immediate locality.

The team before embarking on distributions of the items within the various communities paid homage to the traditional institutions within these areas where they received royal blessings, advise and commendations.

The conveyer pledged his continued support for the communities promising to as much as possible proffer solutions to the problems listed by the royal fathers ranging from the provision of transformer, drinkable water, solar powered street lights and food items for the less privileged and the vulnerable.

He also promised to assist youths of these areas, particularly those who do not have the means in acquiring the best of education so they could also contribute meaningfully to societal growth.

Speaking with the program coordinator, Wave of Success foundation Mr. Bernard Ajewole explained that aside from the items distributed, cash donations was also made to numerous household within the communities visited.

He pointed out that the NGO’s decision to select rural areas for its event was due to the fact that these areas were often less reached with such gesture and even adequate.

It would be recalled that Mr. Okpanachi had earlier this week donated a million naira to the Kogi State Squadron Committee against Covid.
