ZamZam Pharmacy, a heart for humanity »

ZamZam Pharmacy, a household name in Lokoja, Kogi State capital, is famous for quality pharmaceutical products, customer-friendly services and affordable prices in addition to other humanity-centred gestures.

Located in a strategic place in the mainland of the metropolis, ZamZam, has suddenly evolved into a destination for relief and empathy, where all class of people, including the less privileged comes and returns satisfied.

Its fount of kindness overflowed during the just concluded Ramadan fast. The pharmaceutical outfit, pampered their customers with uncommon show of kindness by providing 10 % discount on all products for those who patronised them during the Muslim holy month.

Unlike others who would deliberately allow prices of their products to skyrocket during special religious festivities, ZamZam, choose to be different. The management of this fast growing pharmaceutical outfit, decided to bring humanity to the heart of their business.

A customer who shared her experience, recalled how the pharmacy made a lasting impression on her with a rare show of kindness. For her, ZamZam, stands out tall among its equals in the state.

Her story, “ I came to ZamZam during one of the days of Ramadan. I came with a long list of prescribed drugs. To my greatest shock, I was asked to pay just 90% of the total cost of what I purchased”.

She continued,” It was an amazing coincidence. The whole money on me was just enough to cover the 90% of the total cost of the prescribed drugs. But for the kindness by ZamZam, I wouldn’t have been able to get full prescriptions for my ailing child”.

Another customer who simply gave his name as Mohammed, out of gratitude, eulogised the pharmaceutical shop for sacrificing profit for humanity, even though it was just for the month of Ramadan.

According to him, “ I have never experienced this anywhere, where a business outfit would sacrifice for others this way. ZamZam, is leaving behind footprints of kindness on the sand of time”.

These are few out of several who have been touched profoundly, positively by the pharmaceutical outfit, at least, for the 30 days the fast lasted.

ZamZam is setting a pace worth emulating. For blazing this trail in sensitivity and empathy towards its teeming customers, one can confidently conclude that it is already walking on the aisle of greatness.
