2023: Bello, best material for presidency – Ex-Kogi Commissioner
An Ex-Commissioner of Culture and Tourism in the Kogi State, Dr. Joseph Ebije has described Governor Yahaya Bello as the best material for Nigeria’s presidential seat.
Dr. Ebije made the remark when he received some dignitaries on a visit to his Abuja office at the weekend.
According to him, a young candidate like the Governor of Kogi State, who understands how the country is run and has the acceptance of the people across board, regardless tribe nor religion should be supported.
Dr. Ebije who appealed to Nigerians to support the presidential ambition of Governor Yahaya Bello for a better Nigeria, added that the young leader was “competent and fantastically qualified to rule the country.
“Governor Bello has the right ideas that could address the challenges affecting the country, based on his antecedents and composition so far as the Governor of Kogi.
“He is a young vibrant leader who has proven to prioritize the people’s pertinent needs above parochial sentiments. And I have no doubt that he will put Nigeria on the right path to accelerated growth if given the change.
“Look how he assembled young professionals who never thought they easily would have ascended into power without godfatherism on his assumption of office in 2016, where many of us in our early thirties were privileged to serve as commissioners. What state of the federation since its history has beaten his records. Let alone the over 35% women inclusion in politics,” he added.
“We will not allow bigwigs and moneybag leaders shortchange us anymore of our future. If they bring all the money in this world, no matter how much, we will shun them,” he concluded.
