2023: Gov. Bello Will Turn around Nigeria's Infrastructure »

Kogi State Commissioner for Works and Housing, Engr. Abubakar Ohere has expressed optimism that if elected as President, Gov. Yahaya Bello will turn around the nation’s infrastructure development.

The Commissioner made the disclosure yesterday in a chat with newsmen.

Ohere while speaking on the infrastructure revolution ongoing in the State, described Gov. Bello’s infrastructure development and turnaround as what the country needs, adding that it will be a ‘New Nigeria’ if Gov. Bello becomes President in 2023.

Engr. Ohere said, “Gov. Bello is a wonder. I sometimes ask myself how the Governor is able to manage the lean resources accrued to the State.

“Salaries and other overheads have been paid up to date. Massive investment has gone into infrastructure development. No part of the state that is not experiencing a turnaround in its infrastructure. When you now juxtaposed the resources with the massive investment in education, health and roads infrastructure, you cannot but marvel at the wonder and magic the governor has brought into managing the state’s lean resources.

“Let me quickly inform you that Kogi State is not an oil producing State. We’re not amongst state’s that tops in resource allocation, yet, I make bold to state that, the Governor has turned Kogi into a huge construction site

“A visit to Kogi State Specialist Hospital, Ganaja Flyover Bridge, GYB Model Science Secondary Schools, the Confluence University of Science and Technology, Osara, nearly every local government beginning from Gegu beki in Kogi LGA to Yagba West is experiencing a tertiary health institution with State of the art equipment that would check medical tourism in the country.

“For me, Gov. Bello has proven doubting Thomases wrong that Governor’s don’t do much in the second term. He has without exaggeration surpassed the first term records with outstanding legacy projects that would outlive his administration and for the next generation”.

Engr Ohere called on Nigerian’s to look in the direction of Gov Yahaya Bello for the nation’s Presidency in 2023, disclosing that he represents the future unification, Peace, Security of a one Nigeria as envisaged by the founding fathers of Nigeria at independence.

The Commissioner described Gov. Bello as a man who is prepared and has prepared for the challenges of building a secured and united Nigeria, where lives and properties would be secured, and not minding the dichotomy of tribes, religion and tongues that has over the years impede on the growth and prosperity of the nation.

While listing age on the side of Gov. Bello, Engr. Ohere added that he has also prepared himself for the challenges, unlike past president who were unwilling, not prepared but forced on the people, said with the Governor’s preparation, if the opportunity presents itself as it is currently about to do in 2023, assurred that Gov. Bello will prove his mettle, stating that he can deliver the country out of the woods.
