2023 polls: AIG Iyaji Salutes Echocho, Halims and Zacharia

…urges party faithfuls to repeat same feat for House of Assembly candidates

The Director General of Asiwaju Ahmed Bola-Shettima (AABOS) presidential support group, Alhaji Abdulsalam Iyaji, has felicitated with the Senator elect for Kogi East Senatorial district, Senator Isah Jibrin Echocho, the House of representatives elects, Hon. Abdullahi Halims and Hon. David Zacharia on their victory at the polls, which he described as well deserved.

The former Police Boss made this known in a press release made available to journalists in Lokoja, Kogi state capital on Wednesday.

He commended the people of the state for their peaceful conduct during Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections, and for voting en masse for the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all APC National Assembly candidates.

“I wish to congratulate the Senator elect for Kogi East Senatorial district, Senator Isah Jibrin Echocho, the House of representatives elects, Hon. Halims and Hon. David Zacharia on their victory at the polls. I also want to most profoundly thank you all for voting massively for Asiwaju Tinubu as promised, even as we look forward to witnessing greater level of development and prosperity in our dear nation Nigeria. I enjoín you all to demonstrate such feat come Saturday 11th February for our House of Assembly aspirants across board”, Alh. Iyaji stated.

AIG. Iyaji has through the Asiwaju Ahmed Bola-Shettima (AABOS) presidential support group transversed the nooks and crannies of the state and the impacts of the group’s tour has been said to a large extent, translated to the votes garnered during last Saturday’s election in the state.

Meanwhile, in the declared result announced by INEC, Wednesday morning, Tinubu polled 8,794,726 votes to defeat Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party. Atiku scored 6,984,520 votes to come second, while Obi came third, garnering 6,101,533 votes to come third.

Reacting to the victory of Tinubu, the APC took to its Twitter handle to thank Nigerians for electing its candidate. The party said: “Thank you Nigerians for electing Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President Elect of Nigeria.”
