Suspected kidnappers nabbed in Ofu LGA
The joint task force against kidnapping and other security breaches in Kogi State has arrested two suspects in a place called Ogbakpedo, along Ochadamu in Ofu local government area of the state.
Chairman of the Local Government, Hon. Destiny Amodu said he received a tip off from the dwellers of the area about suspicious movements on their farm lands, and mobilized men of the local vigilantee services and the police who raided the area.
The suspects, one Idris Sumaila from Okabo, and Orih Thompson from Cross Rivers State who were arrested close to the spot where one Barrister Isaac Ekpa was recently kidnapped could not give detailed information about themselves and were handed over to the police for further investigation.
The Chairman, Hon. Amodu in his reaction said that his administration will not treat insecurity issues with kids gloves, and warned criminals in the area to vacate or face the face the wrath of the law.
