Everybody has their destinies determined before birth, believe in yours – Edward Onoja says
Chief of Staff to Kogi State Governor, Hon Edward Onoja says the future everyone had been decided before the individual drew the air of the earth and so everything was in the hands of God.
He made the point today, Saturday, in Idah in a goodwill message he delivered at the Fourth Kogi East Prayer Summit organised by Christian Association of Nigeria in the area.
The Chief of Staff who was speaking against the fate he endured when he supported the Muslim community in Okpo, Olamaboro Local Government Area in completing their Central Mosque, lamented the level of rumours that were spread by mainly Christians in Igalaland who accused him of wanting to convert to Islam because of his political ambition.
Onoja, while describing the administration of Alhaji Yahaya Bello as one that had shown commitment to uniting the people of the state irrespective of Creed or religion called on the clergy to pray for continued peace and love among the people of the state.
He said the administration had a deliberate plan to ensuring enduring peace among the people when it reached out to the Muslim Community as justified by its donation of vehicles to several churches in Kogi East early this year to help with Evangelism and to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The vehicle donation, Onoja emphasised, cost triple more than cost of construction of the Mosque for Muslims.
While calling on believers to always gather and pray for continued peace in all parts of the state, he noted that the state government had taken front rows by investing hugely in the security sector which has made several hotspots of insecurity in Igalaland a thing of the past.
He called for support for the present administration as the Governor has also demonstrated love for the Christian faith by allocating land for the construction of a Chapel in the Kogi State Government House for the first time since the creation of the state.
Hon Onoja further highlighted infrastructural development going on in all parts of the state especially Kogi East such as Ankpa Township Road, Umomi-Idah Road project, Olamaboro Road Project, rural electrification, provision of potable water among other projects have been embarked on by the government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
