Gov Bello wants APC family to embrace peace ahead of August 29th primary, November 16 Guber

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello says it is only in an atmosphere peace and tranquility that the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, could win more people into its fold and consolidate on the gains so far recorded since he assumed office.

He has therefore enjoined all of the party’s stakeholders in Kogi State to embrace politics of unity, compassion and tolerance going forward.

He made the call today, Sunday, while receiving members of the party’s executives and stakeholders in continuation of Saturday’s meeting where he made similar calls with former and current members of the state and National Assemblies from the party in attendance.

The meeting which held at the Glass House of Government House in Lokoja had stakeholders from all the federal constituencies, senatorial distrcits, local government areas, wards and unit leaders in attendance.

Gov Bello reminded them that his emergence as Governor of Kogi State was divine and that it was the same God that would bring about his victory at the next election.

The governor called on the people of the state to desist from ethnoreligious politics, describing it as bad politics, and assured them of his preparedness to emerge victorious in a free, fair and credible election.

He said he recognised the support of the people of the state for his administration and thanked them for the support while urging them to be of good conducts and people-oriented for the progress of the state.

In their separate remarks, the stakeholders assured the governor of their commitment to the course of the APC and the present administration in the state, adding that Kogi State has recorded tremendous achievements under his leadership.
