“It is with heartfelt joy that I congratulate my bosom friend, Siamese twins, Boss and Chief Pilot of our beloved State; His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello; Kogites, particularly the Muslim Faithful, on the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-fitr.
“Despite the many challenges that defined the Ramadan Fast given the rise in Covid-19 pandemic reported cases which greatly affects social, economic and religious activities in our country, State and the world, this lofty milestone yet again reveals the undented Kogi Spirit of perseverance, strength, love and unity that binds us as products of the Confluence.
“Alhamdulillah!
“Indeed, our fervent and sincere prayers, which cut across political and ethnic divides, has energised me to dream of a better Kogi where everybody and everything works; leveraging the abundance of wealth which Allah, in his gracefulness has endowed our beautiful State with.
“As we celebrate, I wish to remind us that our State can make rapid progress on all fronts if we recall and re-enact the humane virtues typified by Prophet Muhammed (PBUH),through his sacrifice, patience, steadfastness, tolerance, generosity and obedience to Allah’s commands and constituted authority.
“Observably, there is no better time than now to carry the Progressives Shield, shune the vices of ethnic rivalry and bigotism while we pray and commit ourselves more to the sustenance of democracy and political stability which are essential prerequisites for the advancement of good governance, inclusive economic growth and rapid development which are glaringly in-line with the Governor Yahaya Bello’s New Direction drives, that sits on the EbIgO philosophy.
“As part of strategies to combating the novel Corona Virus that currently plagues the World, our Government re-affirms its sacred duty and responsibility to ensuring the wellness and welfare of every Kogite and resident in the State. I urge us all to continue to observe the self preservation approach by maintaining higher standards of hygiene and healthy living, in and out of our homes.
“Above all, it is my earnest prayer that we strive to imbibe the lessons of the Ramadan Season as we pray that Almighty Allah meets us at our various points of needs during and after this blissful celebration.
“Barka da Sallah!”
