Kogi NYCN thanks Gov Bello for appointing 21 LGA coordinators as secretaries
The forum of 21 Local Government National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Coordinators has expressed gratitude to the state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for his decision to appoint its members as Secretaries to all council areas in the state.
The forum made this known in a statement signed by its Director of Media and Publicity, Yabagi Mohammed.
The statement said Governor Bello has again shown his love for the council and commitment to placing the youths in the state on the right pedestal that show they are leaders – not only of tomorrow, but that the tomorrow is now.
The Coordinators, the statement noted, are youths of immeasurable capacity, commitment and foresight to bring requisite values to various Local Government Areas, stating that appointing them as secretaries is placing the right pegs in the right holes.
The media director, who enjoined Governors of other states of the federation to take a lesson or two from the leadership notebook of Governor Bello said it goes to show why the country needed a young individual with foresight to lead it at this critical time.
“The time has come for youths in this country and Kogi State in particular, to take their destinies in their own hands by being actively involved in the democratisation process. They must demand and stick with their demands for leadership involvement. If for nothing, the pronouncement of His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello, shows that their tomorrow is here.
“The Coordinators Forum has played very important roles in the re – election of the Governor and the reward is a pointer to the fact that Governor Bello does not forget and rewards kind gestures.”
While also expressing gratitude to the chief of staff to the Governor, Pharmacist Abdulkareem Muhammad Jamiu Asuku for his show of love and preparedness to buy into the decision of his boss, the forum stated that it was not surprised knowing that Pharmacist Asuku is also a youth and has the love of the next generation at heart.
The statement thanked the leadership of various Local Government Stakeholders Forum for their decision to toe the path laid by the Governor, adding that it would no doubt deepen democracy and give the youths a sense of belonging.
