NMA Commends Kogi Deputy Governor For Gifting Late Colleague’s Mother A New House
The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Kogi State chapter, on Monday, commended the Deputy Governor of the state, Chief Edward Onoja, for gifting a deceased colleague’s parent a house.
A statement signed by the State NMA chairman, Dr. Omakoji Oyiguh and his secretary, Dr Famotele Tolorunju, said the association is pleased that Onoja handed over the key of a completed building to the mother of late Dr. Ahmed Victor.
“We commend this laudable effort of dipping hands into your pocket to aid our deceased colleague while bringing tears of joy to the mother through this project,” the statement read in part.
Idowu Victor Ahmed, a medical doctor at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Lokoja, Kogi state, lost the battle to Lassa fever on Sunday, January 21, 2018. Ahmed contracted the virus in the line of duty.
Late Ahmed had just secured placement for housemanship at Federal Medical Centre, Lokoja two months before he contracted the virus.
