State Congress: Kogi APC adopt affirmation, as party decide to retain interim State, zonal excos
As the All Progressive Congress (APC), State Congress is set to hold across the country on Saturday, Stakeholders in Kogi state have adopted the affirmation pattern to elect it’s state Executives and party zonal leaders.
In a stakeholders meeting on Friday in preparation for the saturday congress, party members agreed to retain the interim State Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello and most of his state and zonal party executives.
Governor Yahaya Bello who was represented at the event by his Chief of Staff, Pharm. Abdulkareem Jamiu expressed that the All Progressive Congress in kogi state had it ways of conducting it’s affairs which was owned to the peaceful co-existence enjoyed in the party.
He noted that the party has remained united with one voice and purpose of developing Kogi State as well as growing the party to a formidable height where oppositions in the state would be of non existence.
The Governor, thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for his purposeful leadership of the party which led to the appointment of Governor Mai Mala Buni as the Caretaker Chairman adding that the current leadership of the APC were achieving great results winning many individuals to the side of the party.
The Governor expressed confidence of a peaceful State Congress which he noted would again go down in the political reference books of such events even in times to come as the state and the Kogi APC was uniquely known for peaceful conducts.
Representatives of the Senatorial districts who spoke differently on behalf of their region unanimously agreed to ensure that the conduct of the congress was peacefully conducted while they would adhere to the dictates of the party with oneness and in unity.
