Embassy of Guinea Receives Pan-African Youth Union Vice President West Africa, Dr. Oladele Nihi on Familiarization Visit
To further strengthen the bilateral relationship between youths across West African countries and to continue with the propagation of his three year mandate, the Vice President West Africa, Pan-African Youth Union (PYU) paid a courtesy call on the Embassy of the Republic of Guinea and was received by His Excellency Siaka Cissoko, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Guinea to Nigeria.
His Excellency, Dr. Oladele John Nihi appreciated the Ambassador for granting himself and his team audience to interface with him and present possible ways the Pan-African Youth Union can collaborate with the Embassy and youths of the Republic of Guinea to bring about youth integration programs, capacity building, and developments.
During his brief remark, the Dr. Oladele John Nihi gave a breakdown of what PYU represents in the continent; as the umbrella body for youths and youth coordinating bodies in Africa and to work in synergy with the African Union to achieve the AU agenda 2063 as stipulated by the commission. He also emphasized on his mandate to oversee the affairs of youths of West Africa, and hence the need to familiarize himself with the Embassy.
The bilateral relationship proposed is to take advantage of the Embassy’s presence here in Nigeria to relate with youths in the Republic of Guinea, while the mission stands as a bridge to achieve this singular objective.
His Excellency, Siaka Cissoko while responding, appreciated the Pan-African Youth Union Vice President, Dr Oladele John Nihi and members of his team for visiting, and also congratulated him for the victory recorded recently at the Ordinary Congress of the Union at Niamey Niger Republic, where he emerged as the number one youth in West Africa.
While assuring of his readiness and willingness to work closely with the Pan-African Youth Union and particularly Office of the Vice President West Africa throughout his tenure in office, he also described the privilege of working with the Union as a honor and service to the youths of Africa.
Present at the meeting were; First Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Guinea, Fatoumata Pore Doumbouya, and Staff of the Office of the Vice President West Africa, Pan-African Youth Union.
