Gov. Dapo Abiodun, Sanwo-Olu, Umahi, Others, Form Powerful Campaign Council For Kogi APC Guber
A formidable campaign council has been formed for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, ahead of the upcoming gubernatorial election on November 11, 2023. The council, inaugurated in Lokoja, boasts prominent figures including Chairman of the National Campaign Council, Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State, and the incumbent Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello.
Governor Abiodun, addressing the gathering, emphasized that there is no vacancy in Lord Luggard House, underlining the party’s intention to retain control of Kogi State. He highlighted the unity among national party leaders in ensuring the victory of the APC’s gubernatorial candidate, Usman Ododo.
The National Campaign Council Chairman praised Governor Yahaya Bello’s achievements in various sectors, expressing confidence that the next APC Governor would build on these accomplishments for the benefit of the people of Kogi State.
Governor Abiodun also underscored the lack of significant opposition in the state, making it a promising contest for the APC, and urged all party members to work together to secure victory.
Co-Chairman of the Campaign Council, Governor Sanwo-Olu, echoed these sentiments, declaring Kogi a no-go area for opposition parties in the upcoming election. He encouraged the people of Kogi State not to be misled by opposition rhetoric and affirmed the APC’s commitment to their welfare.
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State emphasized the resolve of Kogi State residents to remain with the APC, citing the party’s positive impact on the state’s development. He cautioned against opposition parties led by individuals with questionable intentions.
Governor Yahaya Bello, the current Governor of Kogi State, expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for his contributions to the nation’s democracy and pledged to continue delivering the gains of democracy to the people of Kogi.
