Kogi Central Youths Rate Governor Ododo High in Governance, Call for Greater Synergy Among Appointees

Youths from Kogi Central Senatorial District have applauded the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, rating him highly for his strides in governance and commitment to inclusive development. The commendation came during the Youth Townhall Meeting organized by the Kogi State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, which held across the five local government areas that make up the district.
At the various sessions held in Adavi, Okene, Okehi, Ogori-Magongo, and Ajaokuta Local Government Areas, the youths acknowledged Governor Ododo’s achievements in key sectors such as youth empowerment, road construction, primary healthcare, security, civil service welfare, the repositioning of the solid minerals sector, and agriculture.
Participants also called for improved synergy and collaboration among political appointees in the state, stressing that such unity is vital for the delivery of democratic dividends to grassroots communities. They pledged their continued support for Governor Ododo and his people-centered policies.
The Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Honourable Monday Aridaojo Anyebe, while addressing participants at the meetings, expressed gratitude to the youths for conducting themselves peacefully and constructively. He emphasized that the feedback and suggestions gathered from the townhall sessions would be documented and presented to the Governor for policy review and consideration.
Honourable Anyebe reaffirmed the commitment of the Ododo-led administration to prioritizing youth development and ensuring that all citizens benefit from good governance.
Local government chairpersons, members of the state legislature, and other political officeholders in the district also commended the initiative, describing the townhall meetings as a timely and strategic platform for youth engagement and grassroots policy assessment.
The Kogi Youth Townhall Meeting continues its tour across other senatorial districts in the state in the coming days.
