KAiFT Seeks NiTDA Support to Strengthen Anti-Internet Fraud Campaign in Kogi

The Kogi Anti-Internet Fraud Team (KAiFT), led by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Fraud and Internet Matters, Hon. Oluseyi Kelvin Eleta, has paid a working visit to the National Information Technology Development Agency (NiTDA) as part of efforts to broaden the scope and impact of the campaign against Internet fraud in Kogi State.

The team was received by the Acting Director-General of NiTDA, Dr. Oladejo Olawumi, during the visit.

Hon. Eleta briefed the agency on the achievements recorded by the administration of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, FCA, in the fight against Internet fraud in the state since the official flag-off of the KAiFT campaign on 25th May 2026.

During the meeting, the KAiFT team presented a number of proposals and requests to NiTDA, which, upon implementation, are expected to provide significant benefits to students and young people across Kogi State.

The engagement provided an opportunity for both parties to explore areas of collaboration and discuss practical steps towards strengthening efforts to discourage Internet fraud while promoting responsible and productive use of technology among young people.

The meeting concluded with a facility tour of the NiTDA complex.

Also in attendance were dedicated members of KAiFT, including Hon. Yetunde Olubunmi Hamza, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Government House Legal Matters; Hon. Favor Avosuahi Amodu, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Human Trafficking; and Hon. Clement Daudu, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Private Education Institutions.
