Ahmed Mohammed Commends Kogi Government’s Youth Empowerment Programme
The Zonal Security Adviser to the Governor for the Ankpa Federal Axis, Rt. Hon. Chief Ahmed Mohammed, has backed the Kogi State Government’s youth entrepreneurship and business grant initiative, urging young people to take advantage of empowerment opportunities to become self-reliant.
Mohammed made the call while attending the two-day Kogi Youth Entrepreneurship and Business Grant Programme and International Youth Day Celebration organised by the Kogi State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development.
The programme brought together youths, government officials, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders to promote entrepreneurship, business development, youth empowerment and economic opportunities across the state.
Mohammed commended the Kogi State Government for what he described as its commitment to youth development and initiatives aimed at helping young people become productive and self-reliant.
He also commended the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development for organising the programme and creating opportunities for young people to acquire entrepreneurial knowledge, explore business opportunities and access potential grant support.
According to him, investing in young people amounts to investing in the future of Kogi State, stressing the importance of sustained collaboration between government and youths.
He urged Kogi youths to make effective use of government programmes and empowerment opportunities, while developing their entrepreneurial skills and contributing positively to the development of their communities.
Mohammed further reaffirmed his support for initiatives promoting youth empowerment, peace, security, entrepreneurship and sustainable development across the Ankpa Federal Axis and Kogi State.
The event ended with participants expressing appreciation for the initiative and calling for more programmes focused on skills acquisition, funding, mentorship and other support needed to transform young people’s ideas into sustainable businesses.
