KSCOE (T), Mopa Holds Security Meeting as Security Agencies, Community Leaders Pledge Stronger Collaboration

The Management of Kogi State College of Education (Technical), Mopa, has introduced a monthly security meeting as a proactive measure to strengthen collaboration, coordination and information sharing among the College, security agencies, government and the host community.

In his welcome address, the Provost of the College, Prof. Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, said the initiative was designed to sustain the peaceful and secure environment of the College through regular engagement with security agencies and other relevant stakeholders. He emphasised the importance of collaboration and continuous communication in promoting safety and ensuring a conducive environment for teaching and learning.

The meeting brought together heads and representatives of relevant security agencies, the representative of the Chairman of Mopa-Amuro Local Government Area, and the Mopa Community Youth Leader.

In their separate remarks, the security heads commended the College Management for the initiative, describing the regular engagement as a proactive step that would further strengthen cooperation and effective communication among stakeholders. They assured the College of their continued support and commitment to sustaining peace and security.

The representative of the Local Government Chairman also commended the initiative, noting that regular interaction among stakeholders would help sustain peace and security within the College and the wider community.

Similarly, the Mopa Community Youth Leader pledged the continued support and cooperation of the youths in promoting peace, harmony and a cordial relationship between the College and its host community.

The initiative further underscores the commitment of the Provost and the College Management to sustaining a peaceful, secure and conducive environment for effective teaching, learning and the overall wellbeing of staff and students.
