APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda urges Ekiti voters to support President Tinubu and other party candidates in the 2027 elections.

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, has urged voters in Ekiti State to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other APC candidates in the 2027 general elections, citing the administration’s economic reforms, education interventions and infrastructure projects as reasons for the President to secure another term.

Yilwatda made the appeal at an APC rally in Ado-Ekiti, where he joined Vice-President Kashim Shettima, members of the party’s National Working Committee, governors and other party stakeholders to present the party’s candidates to voters.

The rally formed part of the APC’s mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections, with the party chairman seeking support for Tinubu’s re-election bid and candidates contesting National Assembly and Ekiti State House of Assembly seats.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Information Strategy, Abimbola Tooki, Yilwatda expressed satisfaction with the turnout at the event, describing the reception as an indication of public confidence in the APC and its Renewed Hope Agenda.

He described Tinubu as a performer and reformer, arguing that his administration had introduced measures aimed at repositioning the Nigerian economy, strengthening public institutions and creating opportunities for individuals and businesses.

On the administration’s tax reforms, Yilwatda said the new framework was designed to protect low-income earners and small businesses from unnecessary tax burdens while allowing them to retain more resources for personal and business development.

He maintained that the reforms reflected the President’s intention to establish a fairer tax system that would not place a disproportionate burden on people with limited financial capacity.

The APC chairman also highlighted the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), describing it as an intervention aimed at expanding access to higher education and ensuring that financial difficulties do not prevent eligible students from pursuing their academic ambitions.

He further noted that eligible beneficiaries receive a monthly upkeep allowance of ₦20,000 to support their educational needs.

On infrastructure, Yilwatda cited road projects linking Ado-Ekiti and Akure, alongside other completed and ongoing projects in Ekiti State, as evidence of the Federal Government’s commitment to improving transportation infrastructure.

According to him, the projects would help facilitate economic activities, improve connectivity and support development across the state.

Yilwatda urged Ekiti voters to support APC candidates across all elective positions, arguing that electing lawmakers from the same party would strengthen the President’s ability to implement his policies and sustain ongoing reforms.

He specifically called for APC victories in the National Assembly and Ekiti State House of Assembly, saying a strong legislative presence would help the party advance its development agenda.

The APC national chairman also described the party as having an extensive national structure and expressed confidence that it would consolidate its electoral strength in the 2027 elections.

He urged party members, supporters and stakeholders in Ekiti State to remain united and mobilised ahead of the polls.

Yilwatda reiterated his call for voters to support Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid, expressing optimism that the Renewed Hope Agenda would deliver further progress in economic recovery and national development.
