Inter Milan are keen to keep pace with AC Milan in the race for the scudetto and Champions League football and have highlighted Real Madrid's midfielder as a game-changer.
Last year, it was Pep Guardiola and Manchester City who were trying their best to lure Toni Kroos away from Real Madrid. This summer, Inter Milan have taken up where City left off and are pursuing the German with more hope than optimism, according to Sport Mediaset.
The Serie A side are in full-on reconstruction mode as they watch from close up how AC Milan are building their own title contenders. They know they must fight fire with fire and continue to pursue the cream of the crop in order to battle for the Scudetto and figure out a way into next season's Champions League and with that in mind have highlighted Kroos as the gamechanger they need.
The new manager, former Roma coach, Luciano Spalletti, has asked for Kroos even if they know Real Madrid consider the World Cup winner non-transferable and would be unwilling to engage in a discussion over hiring the 27-year-old. In Italy, they are full aware that Real Madrid have no need to sell especially when Kroos is concerned but they insist that Inter are willing to test los Blancos' position when it comes to their midfield maestro.
