Intermarc to host 2017 CBN Cashless Card Expo

In a bid to capture the waves of technology, lifestyles and emerging approaches to payment and enterprise in financial markets, Intermarc, a consulting firm, is set to organise the annual CBN Cashless CardExpo Africa.

Disclosing this recently in Lagos, its Managing Director, Adeyinka Adeyemi, said the trade show, which is in its 17th edition, will present an encompassing worldview of different approaches to payment and urged banks and service providers to be on the lookout for strategies, which could influence their action towards businesses.

“Preparations are in top gear to host the annual CBN Cashless CardExpo Africa and the 17th edition of this event will aggregate the energies of this era and capture the waves of technology, lifestyles and present a world view for emerging approaches to payment and enterprise.

“Banks and other service providers, who hope to leverage on the millennial dividend, should therefore be on the lookout for optimum strategies not only to connect with this monumental force, but also to influence their action for commercial interest to businesses,” he said.

He further said, “CardExpo 2017, in line with continuing its tradition, will present a boutique of avenues to harvest the opportunities being offered in this demography, particularly in a peculiar economy like ours and never in the history of the African continent has technology and society had such a seamless relationship as we see it today as the activities of citizens, companies and governments continue to tilt towards untraditional approaches to solution.”

On the theme, “Millennials in the Marketplace”, Adeyinka said it was chosen to showcase the lifestyles riding on disruptive payment and it had all the elements of a gold rush in the making, adding that it could prove to be crucial in the lives of young professionals who represent both the future of enterprise and commerce in Africa.
