Lokoja LGA inaugurates additional administrative members
Lokoja Local Government Council in Kogi State has inaugurated the recently appointed members of the administrative committee for the area, with a charge for them to live above board and propagate the message of the present government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
In an address he delivered at the occasion, the administrator, Hon Lawal Shiru called on the two new appointees to work assiduously towards moving the area forward.
He said their appointment was part of the commitment of Governor Bello towards injecting new ideas to fast track the pace of development in all the nooks and crannies of Lokoja Local Government.
The administrator, who praised the Governor for his vision and commitment towards attracting development to the grassroots of the state, welcomed them to the administrative fold and urged them to assist with the management, control and service delivery in the state.
Hon Shiru charged the new appointees; “You should bear in mind that by your appointment, you have been saddled with additional responsibilities to serve as mobilisers and administrators. Your actions and activities should be tailored towards winning people's hearts to your party, and by extension, to our leader, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.”
Earlier in an address, the Director of Local Government, Hajiya Fatima Abubakar praised the vision of the Governor in appointing the added hands, saying it would help to further drive home message of the present government to the grassroots.
She lauded the choice of the duo of Comrade Abdullahi Adamu and Hon Lawal El-Amin Jiya as round pegs in round holes, saying that their grassroots presence would further the course of the present administration.
Speaking on behalf of the new appointees, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu promised to use their wealth of experience to win more converts into the new direction fold.
He was full of gratitude to the Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, for finding them worthy of service in the government, assuring of their loyalty.
The new administrative member also singled out the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon Edward Onoja, for being a role model to the youths of the state, and assured the administrator for their commitment to serve.
