Abubakar Bashir Gegu at 47: Fanwo Hails Humanitarian Service »

Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, has congratulated the Commissioner for Solid Minerals, Abubakar Bashir Gegu, on his 47th birthday, describing him as a “true humanitarian”.

Fanwo, in a goodwill message on Friday marking Gegu’s birthday, said the commissioner had distinguished himself through compassion, accessibility and commitment to the wellbeing of others.

He said Gegu’s contribution to Kogi State extended beyond his official responsibilities, particularly through his concern for vulnerable people and efforts to create opportunities for those around him.

“Abubakar Bashir Gegu is a true humanitarian. His commitment to humanity is evident in the way he relates with people and responds to the needs of the vulnerable.

“He has remained a dependable colleague and a man whose heart is genuinely connected to the people,” Fanwo said.

The Information Commissioner also commended Gegu’s contribution to the development of the solid minerals sector in Kogi State.

According to him, Gegu’s dedication to the Ahmed Usman Ododo-led administration reflects the commitment of members of the State Executive Council to delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of the state.

Fanwo said Gegu’s approach to public service had also earned him the respect of colleagues and residents who have benefited from his attention to community needs and welfare issues. He urged him to sustain the commitment going forward.

Fanwo prayed for Gegu to be granted many more years in good health, wisdom and fulfilment, while wishing him continued opportunities to contribute to the development of Kogi State in particular and Nigeria in general.
