A women socio-cultural group in Ebiraland, Agada/Okovi/AdaEhi Women in Politics (AOAWP), has honoured senator Abubakar Ohere, with a meritorious award for his unparalleled contribution to the development of Ebiraland and Kogi State in general.

The group which presented the award to Ohere at the Nigeria Airforce Conference Centre, Abuja, described him as an uncommon leader who has dedicated his all to the service of the people and the development of Ebiraland.

The leader of the group, Hajiya Hafsat Abdulsalam further extolled Senator Ohere’s virtues of humility, dedication, and selflessness in the service of humanity, noting that the award was in recognition of his track records on immense contributions to people at the grassroots.

Senator Ohere, while reacting to the award, said he was quite delighted.

“I’m deeply humbled by the fact that my efforts have been closely monitored and assessed by not just my discerning constituents and friends, but perhaps, even Nigeria’s women.

He explained that he felt fulfilled and said a big thank you. “This award recognition clearly shows that my impactful leadership interventions didn’t go unnoticed.”

Senator Ohere also assured the group of the commitment of the Kogi State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo to the development of Ebiraland, urging them to continue supporting the state government developmental efforts.

“With genuine cooperation, tremendous opportunities can be unlocked for the all-around development of Ebiraland, therefore building a future defined by prosperity and harmony”, he pointed out.

He appreciates the organisers for the honour done on him, promising to always contribute his quota towards the development of Ebiraland, Kogi State, and the country at large.
