All is set for Kogi NYCN Valedictory, Thanks You celebration for Gov. Bello

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Kogi state chapter has concluded arrangements for its Valedictory/Thank You celebration in honor of the governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello scheduled for Thursday 24th January, 2025 at the Glass House in Lokoja.

Speaking to newsmen in Lokoja earlier today, the chairman of Kogi NYCN, Comr. Benjamin Jeremiah, confirmed that the theme of the conference is “Youthful Leadership Incubation, Consolidation and Good Governance.” He said the event is put together to appreciate the numerous youths-friendly policies of governor Yahaya Bello, and to commend him for creating a platform for youths advancement in Kogi State.

Comr. Jerry said the event would also feature agenda setting for the incoming administration of Usman Ododo.

“The administration of Governor Yahaya Bello has brought unprecedented goodwill to youths involvement in decision making. Kogi State holds the record of having more young people in leadership positions thereby building their capacities. The peaceful atmosphere institutionalized by the government also creates a firtile ground for businesses and youths entrepreneurship. These and many others are reasons for us to appreciate governor for, in order to set an example for others.

“The youth council supported the Governor-elect, Alhaji Usman Ododo as APC candidate in the last governorship election because we believe that as a mentee of governor Yahaya Bello, he would consolidate on the achievements of the governor in youths development. We are therefore going to set an agenda for the incoming government that would guide its operations in policy implementation”. Comr. Jerry said.

The yyouth council chairman called on youths across the state to attend the event as it gives the avenue to interact with both the outgoing and incoming governors of Kogi State and other stakeholders.
