Anglican Diocese of Kabba to Honor Kogi Governor’s Aide, Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi at 30th Anniversary Celebration, Annual Synod

The Kabba Diocese of the Anglican Communion, Church of Nigeria to honor the Special Adviser on Energy Matters to Kogi State Governor, Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi for exemplary community service during the thirtieth diocesan anniversary celebration and yearly church synod. This was made known in a communication by the Biahop of Anglican Diocese of Kabba, Rev Dr Stephen Akobe to the Special Adviser weeks ago.

The Bishop who describes Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi as a passionate community developer, advocate of the church and devoted public servant who has continued to leverage his office and influence for the good of the people. He commended Omoluabi for his patriotism, love for his community and service to the Christian community in his office and capacity as a government official.

He further said the church will remain the conscience and moral compass for the society and indeed the people in authority. He said the church will remain apolitical but will continue to encourage those in public offices on the need for development and service to the people. The event is scheduled to hold on Saturday 23rd, May 2026, during the church’s 30th anniversary of being a diocese at the church cathedral.

The elated Special Adviser says the award recognition is a significant milestone he cherishes more than all awards he has received in the past, noting that to be recognized by the church is one great thing he will never forget. He commended the church for finding him worthy, stating that the church remains a sacred place that must have gotten cogent reason for honoring him.

The Special Adviser noted with nostalgia, his connection with the Anglican communion right from his days in secondary school and his participation during the preparation towards creation of Kabba Diocese thirty years ago.

“I feel delightfully grateful to God to be honored by the church for my little contribution to my community, this award comes at a time I truly cannot forget because of the thirtieth diocesan anniversary. I remember in 1996 as a student of St Barnabas Secondary school, we were all co-opted into the preparatory arrangement leading to the establishment of Kabba Diocese, I am therefore very exhilarated to be alive to see the three decades of growth and greatness. I congratulate my Lord Bishop Steve Akobe and all the fathers in faith who have sustained the growth of this great church till today. I will not forget this honor in a hurry. God bless his church” Omoluabi stated
