Breaking: Gegu Traditional Council Confers Title on Gov. Bello
The Nyiwo of Gegu-Beki, in Kogi State State, HRH, Alh. Muhammed Alhassan Abba, has conferred a traditional title of “Omeiza Obanyi” on the state governor, Yahaya Bello.
The traditional head announced the conferment of the new traditional title on the governor at his palace in Gegu on Sunday when the governor led the state government delegation to the palace for Sallah homage.
InsideStory reports that the title ‘Omeiza’ Obanyi’ means a ‘Generous Person’ who makes Sacrifice for others’ wellbeing.
The Nyiwo said the Gegu council decided to confer the title on the governor following his good contributions to both human capital and infrastructural development of the state.
