Buhari, Bello commended for signing HOA fiscal autonomy bill »

President Muhammadu Buhari has been commended for signing the bill granting autonomy to State Legislatures across the Country.

Also commended was Governor Yahaya Bello for assenting to the financial and administrative bills for the operation of the Kogi State House of Assembly a week before the Presidential assent.

The Clerk of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Alhaji Amoka Ibrahim who lauded the President and Governor during a meeting with the Staff at the Assembly Complex, described the signing of the Bills as timely and long over due.

Alhaji Amoka described Governor Yahaya Bello as a humane Leader whose interest was to see a united, prosperous Kogi State.

He harped on the need for the Staff to be more committed to their primary assignments as the development would bring about improved working conditions.

The Deputy Clerk, Mr. Apeh Emmanuel had in a remark praised all Stakeholders for their resilience and drive towards the realization of the autonomy, saying the struggle for the legislative autonomy started since year two thousand and commended Governor Yahaya Bello for the political will in granting assent to the bills which previous administrations failed to do.

The Secretary of the Kogi State House of Assembly Commission, Comrade Yemisi. J. Olorunmaiye while briefing the Staff on the journey so far towards the actualization of the autonomy, assured that all technicalities involved in the full implementation is being worked out and thanked Governor Bello, the Lawmakers and all other stakeholders for their role which she noted culminated to the positive development.

Director of Administration and Finance at the House of Assembly, Mr. Martins Enimola in his remark emphasized the need for unity among the Staff, noting that the effort would bring about progress in the Assembly.
